Probably my favorite pizza in the bay area. Although I must admit that the last time I ate there, it was way too sauce heavy. Too many tomato chunks. The caesar salad is also amazing, and if you like anchovies, you should definitely ask for it on the side. You can't go wrong with this place and it's even been featured on the Food Network's Top 10 pizzas in the US. Not too shabby. The only thing that is a downfall is the wait, which can be up to an hour on a busy night. Double whammy- the pizza also takes about half an hour to cook, so sometimes they take your order ahead of time while waiting for a table. That's when you should try the ridiculously good caesar salad.

Not being a fan of Chicago style pizza, I went with the thin crust here, which seemed a little sac-relig. Had the Zachary's Special (minus the mushrooms). Definitely good stuff - not very thin, more of an average thickness. Crunchy crust on the bottom, toppings under the cheese. This place is obviously known for it's deep dish, but the thin was above average as well.

I ordered a salad and a thin crust pizza with sausage, onions and peppers here. The pizza was good and yummy and had cornmeal crust. This might sound weird but they had excellent sausage / cheese / veggie ratio which I appreciate. Good stuff. Nothing to write home about, but it's good. Great service.

A friend from the Chicago area put it best when he said, "This place would stay in business in Chicago." In Chicago, I have had better deep dish at places such as Gino's but Zachary's Pizza is definitely the best deep dish pizza I've had in the bay area so far. If for some reason, you don't like deep dish pizza, go to another pizza place. The thin crust is good but nothing special
