I'm not a huge fan of deep dish pizza, but they do it right here. Thick, perfectly cooked crust. Thick layer of cheese and tomato sauce, this was a great pizza. Expect a wait here as this is in the heart of Hayes Valley and the place isn't huge. You can however order some beers while waiting - decent tap beer selection.
If your looking for a great deep dish pizza, this is a perfect choice. The thin crust looked amazing, but can't speak for it as we didn't try.

This was my first time at Patxi's Chicago Pizza and I was blown away. I had never had pizza with sauce as the top layer so right from there they had me hooked. I took a bite out of the chicken pesto slice....3 abbreviated letters; OMG.
Definitely try the pizza.

I'm torn. I had one good experience here. ONE. I honestly hate cornmeal pizza. It feels like I'm eating pizza but instead of yummy crust it's baked on sandpaper. Hey, but if you're into that...you'll like this place...I think.

This is the best pizza in the City. The Chicago style that they have here is almost like eating lasagna. Soooo good. Get the Hawaiian or the Pesto. Really thick, and great to eat. 2 slices pretty much satisfies your hunger. The only other spot in the Bay Area that is slightly better is Zachary's in the East Bay.
Go here for the best pizza in SF. Mmmmmm...

Apparently the deep dish variety is good here - I can only speak for the thin crust, which was as good as what you might find in the convenience store next door. The thin crust is a joke - don't believe the hype.
