I like Mario's. It's a very quaint establishment in the heart of NB. They have a good selection of panini's, salads, and of course pizzas! I wouldn't say their pizza's are over the top but they use the freshest ingredients and the thin crust is just perfect. You can sit at the bar or sit outside for some good people watching. Their wine and beer selection is just OK...but their food is made with love and doesn't take too long.

Good authentic Italian pizza. What tipped me off was people speaking Italian there.

I love Mario's, although their pizza leaves something to be desired. It is good, don't get me wrong. Thin crust, can eat and drink at the bar, and the service is awesome. Their pizza however, doesn't have a ton of flavor and they don't have a huge selection. The location is perfect! Right off Washington Square, right in the heart of North Beach. Great for people watching with a glass of wine or a few beers. I would personally stick to the chicken pesto panini.
