Ok, this is an Italian steak and chop house, but they serve all kinds of food - one of them obviously being pizza. The pizza is good here, not amazing. It's not their specialty, but it is in North Beach and it is an Italian restaurant. Thin crust, good sauce and nice selection. You can't get a slice though, a whole pie only. If you are coming for pizza or drinks - SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY! $5 Menu all day! $5 glasses of wine (great wine), $5 app and $5 pizzas. A whole pie for $5. I prefer the chicken pesto and the plain cheese, but the others are good as well. Also - a jazz band plays there every Sunday. This is one of the best, hidden gems in San Francisco on Sundays.

Named after exactly who you would expect, Dimaggio's offers much more than pizza...mainly an all day happy hour on Sundays with a delectable variety of $5 apps and wines by the glass. The pesto chicken pizza here is ridiculous - I'm actually not a huge fan of chicken pizzas mostly cuz the chicken chunks usually take over the slices, but they execute this one perfectly. A satisfying hint of shredded chicken with a pesto sauce that doesn't overpower the cheese. Pizza feeds one hungry person or two sorta hungry people.
