I've never been overly impressed by Escape From New York Pizza. Everyone always talks about the potato pesto pizza, and it's good but not the best I have had even in San Francisco. The slices are also on the expensive side.

Despite the fact that I cracked a tooth here (the owners were great about it), I really like the pizza here. The potato and roasted garlic pizza is excellent, as is the pesto. The crust is nice and thin, crispy but never crunchy. The only real drawback is the locale, as that section of the Upper Haight can be kind of gross (I've seen some nasty people in there!).

This is good. I would have tacked on a half star there but these idiot developers don't let you do that. Anyhow, it's thin pizza and it's good sober. That's gotta say something...

Good thin crust pizza. I wouldn't compare it to NYC pizza, but it holds it's own in San Francisco / California. Great location as right in the heart of the Haight. Good for grabbing a slice and walking around or eating on the side walk.

Great NY style pizza, and a wide delivery area. Crazy amount of toppings. Best bet when ordering delivery is to go for the Extra Large, this one comes out much thinner than the other sizes. Good slice shop as well, they always have a few types ready to go.
