Domino's Pizza ( 7 Jul)

Dear Domino's in Tucson, my friends and I used to drunk dial you a LOT when we lived in the dorms. We placed plenty of orders for your thin crust pizza and you delivered it right to our rooms. And you never failed us. Never. AND you accepted payment via CatCard. How reliable you were. I have nothing but fond memories of you...you were my best booty call EVER.
Zachary's Pizza ( 7 Jul)
  • Currently 3.0/5 Stars.
This place is near Coronado and close to East Coast subs. They have thick crust pizza that is decent. All the college kids rave about it but I didn't think it was all that and a bag of chips.

This place has ridiculously long slices of pizza. I have to say, they put way too much cheese on this but sometimes grease is good for you. Not for me, but maybe for you. Tucson isn't really known for their pizza but this is pretty good for the starving students.

I give this place 3.5 stars. I tend to favor their salads but their bbq chicken pizza con extra cilantro is not to be messed with. It's delicious. TRUST ME.

This pizza is ok. I got distracted by the mozzarella sticks, which were fried sticks of heaven. Mind you I ate this during Bay to Breakers and kind of don't remember. I just remember the mozzarella stix. Hmm, I think I liked it? The pizza you ate when you WERE DRUNK! Does this review count?
Bravo Pizza ( 7 Jul)

Bravo is a beloved chain in NYC. I had one right by my office and used to get the sicilian here. Mmm, what I wouldn't give for sicilian. Nice, thick dough with great pizza sauce and perfect amount of cheese. My little square heaven. They also have really yummy calzones. It's not the sickest place...but it's damn good.
Pizza Paradise ( 7 Jul)
  • Currently 3.0/5 Stars.
When I was a young, poor lass living in NYC, I used to frequent this spot. It was right down the street from my work so when I was cutting it close to not making my rent, I came here for their lunch special, which was a slice and soda for $2. You couldn't beat it. I basically lived here towards the end of every month and the pizza is not bad. Nothing great but not bad. Their pasta, however, is so bland...I used to get their ziti and had to drown it in parm. Stick with the lunch special.
Pizzeria ( 7 Jul)

OK, I had heard so much about Pizzeria's pizza that I thought I had to give it a try. People raved that this was similar to pizza from NY. Sadly, I had such high expectations that when I finally tried it, I thought it was way overhyped. I decided to try it a few months later, this time with extremely low expectations and I have to say this is pretty good stuff. Nice thin pizza with a great pizza sauce. It's kind of CRISPAY...just like I like it. Yum in the tums. Plus, they deliver.

Ok I am going to give it to you straight. Against all pizza pizza, this is pretty bad. Against the pizza chains, this is mediocre. Not as bad as Pizza Hut, but maybe on the same level as Domino's regular pizza. It's got that weird spongy crust thing going on. Almost boboli-esque. Ew, I just got the chills and not in a good way....
Ellio's ( 1 Apr)

this pretty much brings me back to scary middle school days. i remember desperately trying to invent new ways on how to make this pizza the most edible. the problems: either you you didn't cook it long enough so that the spongy rectangle of dough would just kind of disintegrate in your mouth. OR i you'd try making it CRASPY but to resemble a pizza on a thick ass doughy cracker but then the mozzerrella shreds would be unrecognizable and looked like charcoal shavings. ah, the days of being young...i had to tack on a star just for nostalgia...
