Dino's Pizza
(28 Jul 05:10)
I haven't been to Dino's in a long, long time but it's a good place to hang out. They deliver which is always nice considering I'm a lazy ass without a decent slice shop near me. They allow kids here, which hurts, but I like to earmuff it and drown them out with a nice tall beer. They have a killer egglplant salad. It's heaven. The eggplant pizza is also heaven-sent. I can't recall what other pizza I've had here. Just stick with my recommendations. Eggplant eggplant eggplant. Xtra beer for each additional kid...
Mario's Pizza of Syosset
(28 Jul 04:56)
This place is SO FREAKING GOOD! It's the shit. They have good standard pizza but their sicilian is YUMMY. You can't go wrong here.
South Beach Cafe
(28 Jul 04:54)
I used to work near this area and South Beach was one of my fave lunch spots. They have small, individual sized pizza. I don't think that they have large pies that you can pick up and take out. They offer a nice variety of toppings. My go-to is the bruschetta pizza. It's so freaking good. Come to think of it, that's the only type of pizza I've ever had here. Hmm. They have a little outdoor space but also spots to sit indoors. I am scared of one of the guys that works here.
Pasquale's Pizza
(28 Jul 04:48)
This place has quite an extensive menu AND they deliver. That is a HUGE PLUS. I must say I favor the heroes over the pizza. Chick parm = yummy. Gotta say that the pizza is ok. It's not bad, but they don't have a good crust. I'm a crust girl. It's one of those flat no-dough crusts. And they leave too much space for the crust. Push that sauce further up, please!!!
Zachary's Chicago Pizza
(28 Jul 04:43)
I ordered a salad and a thin crust pizza with sausage, onions and peppers here. The pizza was good and yummy and had cornmeal crust. This might sound weird but they had excellent sausage / cheese / veggie ratio which I appreciate. Good stuff. Nothing to write home about, but it's good. Great service.
Beretta
(10 Jun 17:18)
I heart Beretta! I have to breakdown this review b/c I have too much to say:
*The Food:
Delicious. Started with the fritto misto de pesce. Yummy fried goodness but surprisingly not heavy. Had the sausage pizza which was thin and yummy. It kind of tasted like a mix of sweet and spicy sausage. Loved it.
*The Atmosphere:
They have a long bar along one wall, tables along the other and then communal tables in the center. The wait is long if you want a table (only take reservations for parties of 6+) but the communal tables were fine. This place is open til 1am every night. Godsend...
*The Service:
I'm a sucker for good service and it's the best here. Our appetizer took longer than expected so they gave us a free one while we waited. Then it came out the same time as our pizzas, which I honestly didn't mind. They comped our appetizers and were so polite that it honestly made up for it.
I freaking love this place!
Enrico's
(12 May 20:50)
Not exactly known for their pizza, but it's good. Nice thin crust pizza but not enough sauce - or at least on mine there wasn't. I give it 3.5. Oh, the outdoor seating is really nice and romantical but the jazz music inside is really freaking loud.
Patxi's Chicago Pizza
(16 Apr 06:06)
I'm torn. I had one good experience here. ONE. I honestly hate cornmeal pizza. It feels like I'm eating pizza but instead of yummy crust it's baked on sandpaper. Hey, but if you're into that...you'll like this place...I think.
Escape From New York Pizza
(16 Apr 06:00)
This is good. I would have tacked on a half star there but these idiot developers don't let you do that. Anyhow, it's thin pizza and it's good sober. That's gotta say something...
Goat Hill Pizza
(16 Apr 05:57)
I really like this place. I really really like it. BTW, I hate people who dip their pizza in ranch dressing. A lot of people do that here in Cali. Why? Anyway, the people I eat here with all tend to do it and claim the ranch is the best in the city...then I barf on them and ruin their experience. The end.
